The police investigation into the sensational Javed Mansuri murder case in Indore has uncovered the complete conspiracy behind the killing. The murder was allegedly planned to conceal an extramarital relationship, with mobile call records, location data, hotel CCTV footage, DNA reports and the recovery of the victim’s body emerging as key evidence.
Based on the evidence presented by the prosecution, the court convicted Javed’s wife, Rukhsana, her lover Saddam Hussain, and their associate Shakir Khan for murder and criminal conspiracy. Saddam and Shakir were also convicted for destroying evidence. All three were sentenced to life imprisonment.
Investigation began with missing person report
Javed Mansuri left his home on April 21, 2023, but never returned. The following day, his wife Rukhsana filed a missing person report at Chandan Nagar police station.
During the investigation, police became suspicious of Rukhsana’s conduct and uncovered several crucial leads. Investigators later found that on the same day Javed went missing, Rukhsana had stayed at a hotel with her lover, Saddam Hussain.
This discovery changed the course of the investigation.
Rukhsana and Saddam seen together for hours
Police first analysed mobile call records and location data. Investigators subsequently obtained CCTV footage from the hotel, which showed Rukhsana and Saddam spending several hours together inside a room.
According to the prosecution, the two allegedly finalised the plan to kill Javed during this meeting. Later, Javed’s body was recovered based on information provided by Saddam.
Forensic evidence strengthened prosecution case
The investigation was supported by several scientific and forensic findings, including the DNA report, post-mortem examination, hotel records, mobile data and other evidence.
The court observed that the circumstantial and scientific evidence collectively formed an unbroken chain of circumstances. The evidence was considered sufficient to establish the roles of all three accused beyond reasonable doubt.
Court: Extramarital affair was motive for murder
In its judgment, the court held that the extramarital relationship between Rukhsana and Saddam was the primary motive behind the murder.
According to the court, the two conspired with the help of Shakir Khan and carried out the planned killing of Javed. The scientific and circumstantial evidence presented by the prosecution corroborated the entire conspiracy.
The court subsequently convicted Rukhsana, Saddam Hussain and Shakir Khan and sentenced all three to life imprisonment.
