In Ratlam, in the Sunaron ki Bawadi area, a husband slit his wife’s throat, killing her in their two-storey house. Hearing the woman’s screams, neighbours rushed over and saw the accused sitting on his wife’s chest, attacking her with a knife. The neighbours immediately informed the police. The police have taken the accused husband into custody and started interrogation.
7-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son were present in the house
The incident occurred on Sunday around 12 PM. The deceased has been identified as 33-year-old Rukaiya, wife of Asgar Ali. At the time of the incident, the couple’s two children, a 7-year-old daughter and a 2-year-old son, were also present in the house. It is being reported that the woman screamed for help during the attack, after which people from the vicinity arrived at the scene.

Neighbours saw a woman covered in blood
Neighbour Shantilal Rathore said that hearing the woman’s scream, he, along with two-three other people, entered the house. There, Asgar was sitting on his wife’s chest and stabbing her in the throat with a knife. Blood was continuously flowing from the woman’s throat. Shantilal said, “The accused shouted at us. Due to fear, we came out and immediately informed the police.”
Police took the accused into custody
Upon receiving the information, Manak Chowk police station personnel reached the spot. Police took the accused husband into custody after much effort and took him to the police station to begin interrogation. The woman’s body was found inside the house. After the incident, a large crowd gathered at the spot.
Investigation into the cause of murder ongoing
Currently, the police are engaged in ascertaining the reasons for the murder. Evidence is being collected from the crime scene. The accused is being interrogated. Police state that the reason behind the murder will only become clear after the investigation.
