Madhya Pradesh has received an average of 15.4 inches of rain so far, which is not even half of its quota. Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain-Jabalpur, and 42 other districts have received less than normal rainfall. According to the Meteorological Department, the state has received an average of 15.8 inches (401.9 mm) of rain so far, whereas it should have received 18.5 inches (470.5 mm).
Thus, there has been a deficit of 2.7 inches, or 15 per cent, in rainfall. On the other hand, the eastern part recorded 19 per cent less rainfall and the western part recorded 11 per cent less rainfall.
The normal rainfall for the state is 37.3 inches. On Sunday, heavy rain was recorded only in Sehore. Other districts received light rain. As a result, the figures did not improve.

Meanwhile, 13 districts – Mauganj, Umaria, Shahdol, Tikamgarh, Khandwa, Barwani, Khargone, Bhind, Burhanpur, Dewas, Indore, Rajgarh and Sehore – have received above-average rainfall.
