
Asif Khan from Rajasthan, who played the role of the son-in-law in the web series Panchayat, will be seen on Bigg Boss. He began crying when he appeared before Salman Khan on the Bigg Boss stage. During this, he said, ‘Mom, today I am standing with Salman Khan.’
Asif said,
” was not interested in studying; I used to perform in plays at school. The teachers would praise me then. Meanwhile, my father passed away in 2008. I moved from a private school to a government school. I worked alongside my studies to meet the needs of my family.

When he got the opportunity to move from Nimbahera in Chittorgarh to Jaipur, he took up theater and learned the nuances of acting. After coming to Mumbai, his dreams came true, and he received immense love from people for the web series Panchayat.
During his days of struggle, Asif also washed dishes in the hotel kitchen at Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s wedding. About a year ago, during an illness, he shared an emotional message about life on social media. He wrote:

Thirty-five-year-old Asif shared a 16-year-old story on the Bigg Boss stage. He said that when Salman Khan’s film ‘Ready’ was being made.
At that time, he also appeared as a background dancer among the crowd in one of the film’s songs. He probably never imagined that one day he would stand in front of that very Salman Khan and dance with him on stage. On the Bigg Boss stage, Salman Khan danced with Asif to the same song. Asif’s father worked for a cement company, while his mother was a homemaker. Asif said that he studied at an English-medium school, but he had no interest in his studies. He somehow managed to pass his exams.
To avoid studying, he participated in plays during the annual function. This small decision changed the course of his life. For the first time, he received praise not only from his friends but also from the teachers who had never praised him for his studies.
Because of this, he began participating in various drama competitions. Gradually, he became known as a talented artist in Chittorgarh and the surrounding areas.
Struggled after his father’s death
Asif said that he was studying in seventh grade when his father passed away. The family faced a financial crisis. Since his elder brothers were good at their studies, the family decided that they would continue their education, while he would work to meet the household’s needs.
It became difficult to pay the fees at a private school, so he enrolled in a government school. He also started working to help his family. He would work from morning until afternoon before going to school, and continued working after school as well. This routine continued for about one and a half to two years. During this period, he held several jobs. For some time, he also worked with his maternal uncle in the steel furniture business.

Asif acted in theater in Jaipur for several years, where he learned the nuances of acting. The stage gave him confidence and showed him the way to pursue acting as a profession. He then moved to Mumbai, where he initially faced financial difficulties and had to get by doing odd jobs. Gradually, however, he began receiving acting opportunities and started working in films and web series.
