It was his first time on a Hindi film set
Pushkar Jog said, “Rishi Kapoor sir scolded me at that time. I was just a 7-year-old child. I didn’t know anything. It was my first time on a Hindi film set with 100-150 people.”
He mentioned that Nana Patekar got him this film without an audition. Nana had said, “He is my boy from Pune, he is the one who will do this role.”
Pushkar said that everyone on the set was afraid of Rishi Kapoor. He shared, “I arrived for the shoot. On the first day, I noticed that Rishi Kapoor sir remained very reserved and didn’t talk much. He had a distinct aura. Everyone was afraid of him. He was very straightforward and strict. I was also scared because he seemed quite stern and intimidating.”
Dropped flower petals on his head during rehearsal
Pushkar mentioned that this incident occurred during the shooting of a song. Rishi Kapoor, choreographer Farah Khan, and actress Pooja Bhatt were working on that song. Farah Khan had already told him to work well, as Rishi Kapoor might get angry if he didn’t. Pushkar had assured her that he would do a good job.
In the sequence, Pushkar works in a garage. Rishi Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt arrive there in a new car. During the rehearsal shot, Pushkar accidentally dropped all the flower petals given to him onto Rishi Kapoor’s head.
Pushkar said, “I don’t know what made him angry, but after the cut, he got furious at me. I started crying right there. He said, ‘Who have you people brought on set? Who is this? At least teach him something before bringing him here.'”

Pushkar said, “He used to get angry often, but I don’t know why. I told Nana sir about this because I was close to him. He listened to the whole thing and said he would do something.”
Nana Patekar confronted Rishi Kapoor the next day
According to Pushkar, Nana Patekar did not have a shoot the next day. Despite this, he came to the set to reprimand Rishi Kapoor.
Pushkar said, “He scolded Rishi Kapoor sir a lot and replied to him in the same manner. He said, ‘Whoever you may be, don’t you know how to treat a child? He is a 7-year-old kid. How would he know about takes and rehearsals? Why are you yelling at him?'”
Pushkar said that Nana Patekar had the courage and kindness to say this in front of Rishi Kapoor. He further added, “May God rest his soul, but I have this unpleasant memory associated with him. We all still love and respect him today.”
