India’s nuclear weapons stockpile is estimated at around 190 warheads, according to a report by the US-based Federation of American Scientists (FAS), a non-profit policy research organisation.
The report estimates that India has 30 additional nuclear warheads earmarked for new missiles that are currently under production.
According to the assessment, these additional warheads are intended to support India’s expanding missile capabilities as the country continues to develop and produce new delivery systems.
