The weather department said the spell is likely to continue until September 15 due to a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal.

The monsoon has also become active again in Rajasthan. Alwar received heavy rain on Friday, leading to waterlogging in several areas. Several roads were submerged following the rainfall.
