Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Vijay and actress Trisha Krishnan’s recent appearance together has once again sparked discussion. The two were seen at Ajith Kumar’s Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone in the UK, where Vijay flagged off the event. A video from the race has surfaced showing Trisha with Vijay on a balcony.
Meanwhile, veteran actress Ambika has advised Trisha to be cautious about being seen with Vijay in public. In an interview with South’s news website RedPix, Ambika said, “Trisha may feel that she and Vijay are just friends and that criticism does not affect them. But Vijay holds a high position, and if being seen together causes her embarrassment or has an adverse impact, then if I were in Trisha’s place, I would avoid it. I would step back and not create any difficulties for Vijay.”
Ambika also said that a friendship cannot be ended simply because one of the two people has reached a senior position.
She said, “When two people are friends and one of them reaches a higher position in life, we cannot deny that friendship. We should not give it any other colour.”
Ambika is a popular South Indian actress.
She also said that if being seen with a friend at a particular place could invite unnecessary criticism, she would prefer not to go there.
Affair rumours resurface after the two arrived at the race together
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor Thalapathy Vijay inaugurated the Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone on Saturday by waving the green flag. South Indian star Ajith Kumar competed in the race and finished 38th. However, the presence of Thalapathy Vijay’s rumoured girlfriend, Trisha Krishnan, alongside him during the race drew attention.
Several videos related to the race are emerging on social media. In some, Vijay is seen enjoying the race with Trisha, while others show him meeting actor Ajith before the race or flagging it off.

Wife Sangeetha withdraws divorce petition amid rumours of Vijay-Trisha affair
Thalapathy Vijay and Trisha Krishnan have been in the spotlight for a long time amid rumours of an affair. Meanwhile, Vijay’s wife filed a case in February 2023 seeking a divorce from him. According to PTI, Sangeetha said in her petition that her husband was having an extramarital affair with an actress. She learnt about it in April 2021. However, she did not name the actress.
She also said that Vijay had subjected her to continuous mental harassment, neglected her and abandoned her. She said she would make the actress a second respondent in the case if necessary.
Sangeetha said that their relationship had completely broken down. Vijay had become emotionally distant from her and used to treat her abusively. He had created circumstances in which they had to live separately in the same house. She therefore sought a divorce under the Special Marriage Act, 1954.
Vijay’s personal life was intensely discussed during the Tamil Nadu election, in which he was a candidate. Around the same time, his presence with Trisha also made headlines.
Vijay won the Tamil Nadu election on Trisha’s birthday, shortly after which Trisha arrived at his home in Neelangarai.
That day, Trisha also posted a picture of herself celebrating her birthday with Vijay late at night.
Later, on 10 May, Trisha also attended Vijay’s swearing-in ceremony as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Trisha had also attended the programme with Vijay’s family on 15 August.
The two were seen together on several occasions, leading people to believe that their relationship was official. However, around that time, Vijay’s wife withdrew her divorce petition.
This is the first time Vijay and Trisha have been seen together since the divorce petition was withdrawn.
