Ketan Agrawal Murder Case | Lohgarh Plot & Fake Instagram Profile Exposed

Pune Police have cited several pieces of evidence in the Ketan Agrawal murder case that allegedly helped them establish that his death at Lohagad Fort on June 18 was not an accident.

Among the key clues highlighted in the chargesheet are discrepancies in Siya Goyal’s account of the incident, CCTV footage showing a hooded man following Ketan and Siya at the fort, and the large number of calls exchanged between Siya and accused Chetan Chaudhary.

Ketan’s death was initially treated as an accident

Ketan’s body was found at Lohagad Fort on June 18 after he fell into a gorge estimated to be around 350-400 feet deep. At the initial stage of the investigation, the incident was considered an accident.

According to the initial account, Ketan had gone to Lohagad with Siya. He allegedly fell while taking photographs near a rocky area. The circumstances surrounding his fall, however, later came under scrutiny as police continued their investigation.

CCTV footage showed a hooded man

During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage from the area near Lohagad’s ticket counter. The footage allegedly showed a man wearing a hoodie following Ketan and Siya as they moved towards the fort.

Police later identified the person as Chetan Chaudhary, who has been described as Siya’s boyfriend.

The presence of Chetan at the fort became an important part of the investigation because, according to police, his presence was not consistent with the initial account of Ketan’s visit being a private outing between him and Siya.

2,004 calls between Siya and Chetan

Investigators also examined the call detail records of Siya and Chetan. According to the chargesheet, the two exchanged 2,004 calls.

Police have cited the frequency of their communication, along with several lengthy conversations, as digital evidence relevant to the alleged conspiracy. Investigators examined the call records to establish the communication between the two before and around the time of Ketan’s death.

Police found discrepancies in Siya’s account

Police also reportedly found discrepancies in Siya’s statements during the investigation. These inconsistencies, along with the CCTV footage and call records, led investigators to examine the possibility that Ketan’s fall had been deliberately planned rather than being an accident.

The chargesheet alleges that the incident was part of a larger conspiracy involving Siya, Chetan and Ritesh Hange.

Other digital evidence cited in chargesheet

Apart from the three key clues, police have cited several other forms of evidence in the 5,053-page chargesheet. These include WhatsApp chats, photographs, mobile phone data, call detail records, CCTV footage and technical investigation reports.

The chargesheet also contains statements from around 80-85 witnesses. Police have identified three witnesses who allegedly saw Siya and Chetan around the time of the incident.

According to the chargesheet, investigators also examined the alleged use of a fake Instagram account, online search history and other digital activity while probing the sequence of events leading to Ketan’s death.

Siya Goyal, Chetan Chaudhary and Ritesh Hange are currently in judicial custody and are lodged at Pune’s Yerawada Central Jail.
