<\/picture><\/div>\nThe Opposition will hold a protest outside Makar Dwar of Parliament at 10:30 am on Friday, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET paper leak.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n The protest comes after both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed repeated disruptions on Thursday, forcing the adjournment of both Houses for the entire day without any legislative business.<\/p>\n Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said discussions on the NEET paper leak would not begin unless Pradhan stepped down.<\/p>\n The government, however, accused the Opposition of stalling Parliament. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said the Opposition was more interested in protests than debate, while BJP president JP Nadda alleged that Opposition parties neither wanted a discussion nor the smooth functioning of Parliament.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) issued a whip directing all NDA MPs to remain present in both Houses during Friday’s proceedings.<\/p>\n Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge<\/strong> on Friday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong> over his video message on the alleged NEET-UG paper leak<\/strong> controversy, saying the Prime Minister should make a statement in Parliament instead of addressing the issue through a recorded video.<\/p>\n In a post on X, Kharge said, “When Parliament is in session, the Prime Minister has to give a statement on the floor of Parliament, not make a one-sided ‘Mann Ki Baat’ outside Parliament by recording a video late at night.”<\/p>\nLive Updates<\/h2>\n
