<\/picture><\/div>\nDharnavada police have registered an FIR.<\/span><\/p>\n A 26-year-old woman, who was reportedly engaged to an engineer, was allegedly subjected to a brutal assault and an attempted gang rape after she and her fianc\u00e9 were lured into stopping near Hanuman Tekri in Guna, Madhya Pradesh, on Thursday night.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to the woman\u2019s complaint, a group of four to five men stopped the couple on the pretext that their motorcycle had a puncture. The accused allegedly took away the bike keys, dragged the couple into a nearby forest and assaulted and robbed them.<\/p>\n The woman has alleged that the men tore her clothes, restrained her and attempted to sexually assault her. She also alleged that one of the accused inserted a wooden object into her private parts, causing serious injuries.<\/p>\n The incident took place under Dharanawada police station limits. Police have registered a case and constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to identify and arrest the accused.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u2018They stopped us saying their bike had a puncture\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n According to police, the woman, originally from Kolkata and currently residing in Jharkhand, had gone to Hanuman Tekri with her friend for darshan.<\/p>\n At around 8 pm on Thursday, while the two were returning on a motorcycle, some youths stopped them near a petrol pump, claiming that their motorcycle had a puncture.<\/p>\n As soon as the couple stopped, the accused allegedly took away the motorcycle key and led them towards the forest along the roadside.<\/p>\n The miscreants stopped the young man and woman on the pretext of a punctured bike.<\/span><\/p>\n Accused allegedly called more accomplices<\/strong><\/p>\n The woman told police that after reaching the forest, the men allegedly called additional accomplices.<\/p>\n The group allegedly assaulted both the man and woman with sticks and slapped them. They also allegedly took away their mobile phones and motorcycle.<\/p>\n The woman alleged that her fianc\u00e9 was taken to a separate location and that the accused attempted to assault him as well.<\/p>\n Woman alleges clothes were torn and hands tied<\/strong><\/p>\n According to the complaint, the accused allegedly tore the woman\u2019s clothes and attempted to sexually assault her one after another.<\/p>\n When she resisted, they allegedly tied her hands with pieces of clothing and assaulted her. She further alleged that one of the accused inserted a wooden object into her private parts, leaving her seriously injured.<\/p>\n Passerby alerts police through Dial 112<\/strong><\/p>\n The woman said she could hear her fianc\u00e9 screaming from some distance during the incident.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, a passerby allegedly noticed what was happening and alerted police by calling Dial 112.<\/p>\n A police team reached the spot shortly afterwards, following which the accused allegedly fled from the area.<\/p>\n The couple was taken to the police station, and the woman was sent for a medical examination.<\/p>\n Dharanawada police have filed an FIR in the matter.<\/span><\/p>\n Police checking CCTV footage<\/strong><\/p>\n Police have registered a case against the accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).<\/p>\n Teams are examining CCTV footage from cameras installed around the incident site to identify the suspects.<\/p>\n Four to five suspects allegedly involved<\/strong><\/p>\n Guna Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal said the woman had undergone a medical examination.<\/p>\n \u201cFour to five teams are searching for the accused. An SIT has also been constituted to investigate the case,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n According to the preliminary investigation, four to five people are suspected to have been involved in the incident.
