Gujarat saw a 19% increase to \u20b912,923 crore; Karnataka saw a 12% increase to \u20b913,854 crore; Telangana saw a 19% increase to \u20b95,819 crore; and Uttar Pradesh collected \u20b99,651 crore, a 15% increase.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Tamil Nadu&#8217;s GST revenue decreased by 1%, Andhra Pradesh&#8217;s by 5%, and Madhya Pradesh&#8217;s by 10%. Sikkim recorded a decline of 59%, Himachal Pradesh 22%, and Uttarakhand 18%. The department clarified that these figures are provisional and may see minor changes in final data.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\"><span class=\"e913fbaa d3886593\"><strong>GST Collection Shows the Health of the Economy<\/strong><\/span><strong\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">GST collection indicates how healthy the country&#8217;s economy is. If the collection is high, it means that people are shopping vigorously, production in factories is increasing, and people are paying taxes honestly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\"><span class=\"e913fbaa d3886593\"><strong>GST was Implemented in 2017<\/strong><\/span><strong\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The government implemented GST across the country on July 1, 2017.
