Mahakal police station registered an FIR late on Friday night against Mahamandaleshwar Gyandas Maharaj of Dadu Ashram located on Sadawal Road, Ujjain, on charges of rape of a woman.<\/p>\n

As soon as the information about the case being registered was received, the accused Mahamandaleshwar fled the ashram. Police raided the ashram to apprehend him, but he was not found there. The ashram was found locked.<\/p>\n

Two days ago, a woman who had stayed at the ashram filed a complaint at Mahakal police station, making serious allegations against Mahamandaleshwar Gyandas of rape, assault, death threats, and blackmailing by making objectionable videos. Meanwhile, Gyandas, calling these allegations baseless, accused the woman of honeytrap and blackmailing. Police were investigating the same complaint.<\/p>\n

Fled from ashram, police returned empty-handed<\/strong><\/p>\n

The woman stated in a complaint sent to the Home Minister, DGP, IG, and SP that about a year and a half ago, she met Gyandas at Datta Akhara Ashram. Thereafter, communication began between them via Facebook.<\/p>\n

The woman alleges that on Guru Purnima-2025, she arrived at Dadu Ashram with her brother and stayed there for a few days. During this time, Gyandas raped her. When she resisted, she was assaulted, threatened with death, and blackmailed with an objectionable video.<\/p>\n

Based on the woman’s complaint, Mahakal police station late on Friday night registered a case against Gyandas under sections 69 and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). After the FIR was registered, the accused fled the ashram. Police are raiding potential hideouts in search of him.<\/p>\n

Mahamandaleshwar had called the allegations false<\/strong><\/p>\n

After the matter came to light, Mahamandaleshwar Gyandas Maharaj had rejected all the allegations made by the woman. He stated that a conspiracy was being hatched to defame him and implicate him in a false case.<\/p>\n

He claimed that the woman had been blackmailing him for a year. She was trying to trap him in a honeytrap. According to him, audio, video, and other documentary evidence related to the blackmailing have been handed over to the police.<\/p>\n

Stone pelting had also occurred at Gyandas’s place a few days ago<\/strong><\/p>\n

A few days ago, there was a stone-pelting incident at the residence of Gyan Das Maharaj, who is associated with Shri Panchayati Nirmohi Pani Akhara, in which the windows of his car were broken.<\/p>\n

Along with this, Gyan Das Maharaj has also undertaken fasts and protests several times regarding the issue of pollution of the Shipra River. Maharaj has two different ashrams in Ujjain. The first ashram is Jadu Ashram located on Sadawal Road, while the second ashram is located at Pipli Naka.<\/p>\n
