When she survived the fall, he allegedly attacked her repeatedly on the neck with a beer can, leaving her seriously injured.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The incident took place on the evening of July 31, 2026. According to Sohagi police, the woman\u2019s three-year-old son was present during the attack. The child reportedly kept crying after seeing his injured mother.<\/p>\n The woman suffered serious injuries to her neck and other parts of her body and required around 25 stitches. She is currently undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n Couple had a love marriage in 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n According to Sohagi police station in-charge Kamlesh Sahu, the victim, Sanya Kol, a resident of Shankargarh, married the accused, Satish Darji, in 2022 after a relationship.<\/p>\n The couple had a son in 2023. However, disputes between them increased over time. In 2024, the woman began living separately from her husband and son following marital differences.<\/p>\n The woman had recently returned from Punjab and was staying at a friend\u2019s house. On July 31, she came to meet her son. She was scheduled to board a train from Shankargarh railway station to Punjab at around 7:30 pm, but missed it due to a delay.<\/p>\n See these pictures related to the incident<\/strong><\/p>\n The woman kept screaming and crying in pain after the assault.<\/span><\/p>\n The woman has 24 stitches on her neck.<\/span><\/p>\n Villagers caught and beat the accused. Made them lie down on the road.<\/span><\/p>\n Husband took her to Naina river bridge instead of Prayagraj<\/strong><\/p>\n After missing the train, the husband allegedly called her and offered to drop her at Prayagraj, also known as Allahabad. Trusting him, the woman agreed to go with him.<\/p>\n The accused left on a motorcycle with his friend Deepak Singh, taking the woman and her child along. However, instead of heading towards Prayagraj, they reached the Naina River bridge under Sohagi police station limits.<\/p>\n According to police, the accused\u2019s associate was already present there. The two men allegedly pushed the woman off the bridge into the gorge.<\/p>\n She survived the fall. The husband then allegedly went down to where she had fallen and repeatedly struck her neck with a beer can.<\/p>\n Villagers rescue injured woman<\/strong><\/p>\n The woman suffered severe injuries in the attack. Hearing her screams, nearby villagers rushed to the spot and found her covered in blood.<\/p>\n She was bleeding from her neck and had multiple injuries on her body. Villagers rescued her and arranged for her to be taken to hospital.<\/p>\n The villagers also allegedly caught the woman\u2019s husband and his associate. They assaulted the two men and slapped them repeatedly. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the two accused sitting on the ground.<\/p>\n Villagers caught and beat the accused husband and his friend.<\/span><\/p>\n Husband and friend arrested<\/strong><\/p>\n Sohagi police station in-charge Kamlesh Sahu said passers-by took the injured woman to the hospital.<\/p>\n Police said the husband allegedly attempted to kill his wife with the help of his associate following a domestic dispute.
