Devotees started queuing from late at night, and the temple gates were opened at 2:30 am for Lord Mahakal&#8217;s Bhasma Aarti. The procession of Baba Omkareshwar-Mamleshwar is also scheduled to leave this afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The rituals began with the recitation of Swastivachan in the ear of Veerbhadraji in the assembly hall, followed by the ringing of the temple bell. After permission was sought from the Lord, the silver doors of the assembly hall and the sanctum sanctorum were opened. Priests removed the Lord&#8217;s adornments, performed Panchamrit Puja and Kapur Aarti, and carried out the worship of Nandi.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Lord Mahakal was then offered Jalabhishek and worshipped with Panchamrit prepared from milk, curd, ghee, sugar, honey and fruit juice. The deity was adorned in the divine &#8216;Rajadhiraj&#8217; form with bhang, sandalwood, dry fruits and ornaments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Lord Ganesha, Mother Parvati and Lord Kartikeya were also worshipped, while fruits, sweets and Naivedya were offered. The procession of Baba Omkareshwar will reach Kotitirth Ghat, and the procession of Baba Mamleshwar will reach Gomukh Ghat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">At both locations, amidst the chanting of Vedic Brahmins, the Lord will be bathed with Panchamrit and special worship will be performed. The anointing (Abhishek) of Baba Omkareshwar will be performed under the guidance of Pandit Rajrajeshwar Dixit, while the anointing (Abhishek) of Baba Mamleshwar Jyotirlinga will be performed in the presence of Deepak Upadhyay and Shubham Badve.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">After the worship and anointing, both processions will depart for a city tour at approximately 5 PM. The procession will reach JP Chowk via Balwadi and the old bus stand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">From here, Baba Omkareshwar&#8217;s procession will reach Shri Omkareshwar Temple late in the evening via Bara Chowk Road, while Baba Mamleshwar&#8217;s procession will return to Shri Mamleshwar Temple via Gomukh Ghat from JP Chowk.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">There is special enthusiasm among devotees for this traditional procession and city tour on Shravan Monday, and a large number of devotees are expected to participate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Similarly, a large number of devotees are expected to visit the Lord Pashupatinath Temple in Mandsaur for darshan. The decoration includes various types of flowers such as roses, marigolds, mogra, jasmine, English roses, tuberose, orchids, and carnations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Many of these flowers have been sourced from Indore, Nashik, Agra, and Guna, while some have been made available locally. Like last year, a large number of devotees are expected to arrive this time as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Keeping this in mind, signboards have been installed from the temple to the Harifatak Bridge, so that devotees coming from India and abroad do not face any kind of inconvenience.
