In Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh, a husband caught his wife with her lover. After this, the husband, along with his brother and nephew, beat both of them with belts, abused them, and tied them with ropes, parading them through the village and on the highway. The young man’s clothes were also removed. The incident took place at Barufatak in Thikri.<\/p>\n

After catching the woman and man on charges of an illicit affair, their hands were tied. Both were publicly humiliated in the presence of villagers. A video of the incident was made and went viral.<\/p>\n

The woman told the police that she was married 15 years ago and has two children. Her husband used to drink alcohol and assault her. Disturbed, she had gone to her maternal home a month ago. After that, she started living in a rented room in Magarkhedi and started working as a laborer in a company in Nimrani.<\/p>\n

The woman alleged that on Sunday night around 10:30 PM, her husband, brother-in-law, and nephew arrived at her room. They verbally abused her regarding her love affair. After that, the woman and her relative were tied with a rope and beaten with belts and tubes. The woman stated that she has been in a love affair with the relative for the past 5 years.<\/p>\n

The woman stated that her husband often assaults her under the influence of alcohol. He constantly harasses her. She has filed an FIR in the case of assault and abuse.<\/p>\n

SDOP Mahesh Sunayya said that the woman and her lover were taken on foot from Kanasapura to RC Barufatak Stadium. The police team reached the spot and brought both of them to the police station. There, they were questioned about the entire incident.<\/p>\n

Based on the woman’s complaint, the police have registered an FIR against her husband, brother-in-law, and another accused. The accused include Prakash Mujalde, Ghanshyam Mujalde, and Golu Jadhav. All three are absconding. Their search is ongoing.<\/p>\n
