Rupesh has been on a fast for the past six days. He is part of the movement against irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations. Thousands of students are participating in this movement. Their enthusiasm is not diminishing despite heavy rainfall.<\/p>\n

First, let’s hear what the students on hunger strike have to say<\/strong><\/p>\n

Student leader Ravindra Paswan says, “I spoke on the phone with Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha. I informed him about the situation here and told him how the exam mafia is flourishing. I told him that the Congress party is part of the ruling coalition, so Congress should clarify its stance.”<\/p>\n

Rahul Gandhi told me, ‘Send your demands on WhatsApp. We are serious about this issue and will do whatever we can. We will talk to the government.’<\/p>\n

Student Devendranath Mahto, who is on hunger strike, said, ‘My condition is deteriorating. I can barely hear, think and speak. My other organs are not supporting me.’ The student participating in the movement said that the continuous cancellation of competitive examinations like JPSC and JSSC and paper leaks have darkened the future of students.<\/p>\n

This is causing several serious crises for us students. After years of hard work, papers get leaked and examinations are cancelled. This causes mental stress.<\/p>\n

Prem, who is on hunger strike, said, ‘When I stand up, I feel dizzy. I passed a little urine, which was red like blood. The government is not seeing our condition. I request that you please listen to us.’<\/p>\n

I consider CM Hemant Soren as my guardian. Some people are misleading you. Don’t fall for their misleading. Talk to us directly. You are sending delegations. You are sending ministers and MLAs. We won’t talk to them. Whenever we talk, we will talk to you, the conversation will be in front of cameras.<\/p>\n

Delays in recruitment exams are not right: Students<\/strong><\/p>\n

A student said that we come from farmer and poor families. We live in rented houses in cities like Ranchi. It becomes difficult to bear the expenses of books and coaching. When exams get postponed, the entire budget gets disrupted.<\/p>\n

Due to delays in recruitment exams, many students exceed the age limit, which permanently disqualifies them from the exam.<\/p>\n

Due to fraud and irregularities occurring in competitive examinations, students’ trust in the system and selection commissions (JPSC\/JSSC) has been shaken, forcing them to take to the streets of the capital for protests.<\/p>\n

CJP’s support for students’ movement, langar arranged for food<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Jharkhand, students have been on dharna at Jaypal Singh Munda Stadium for 14 days demanding cancellation of the 14th JPSC. Mohammad Junaid has arranged langar for the students. Earlier, he had also arranged food and refreshments for students during the protest against the NEET paper leak.<\/p>\n

Here, there is an arrangement for 500-1000 students to eat at a time. Students have taken responsibility from cooking to serving the food.<\/p>\n

Junaid said that he described the alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations as a serious matter and demanded a CBI investigation. Also, supporting all the demands of the protesting students, he said that the Jharkhand government should find a solution soon.<\/p>\n

People from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, UP-Bihar, Bangalore, Hyderabad are reaching Ranchi in support of the students.<\/p>\n

The echo of students’ demands is resonating from the streets to the assembly. During the last two days of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly’s monsoon session, the opposition has strongly raised the students’ demands. They protested and demanded the CM’s resignation.<\/p>\n

Thousands of students from the JPSC-JSSC Reform Forum are expressing their protest in a unique manner. Sometimes conducting a tricolor march, sometimes protesting by lighting mobile flashlights. Students from various colleges of Ranchi are also reaching Jaypal Singh Munda Stadium.<\/p>\n

Bollywood song and dialogue writer, UP resident Ritesh Rajwad reached among students from Mumbai. He encouraged the students and said that the government will have to listen to the voice of the students. He said that when he received information about the protest in Mumbai, he reached Ranchi to meet the students. Wherever there is a protest, Jharkhand’s protest will be remembered.<\/p>\n

CID arrested 19 accused<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the CID investigating the fraud in Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) examinations has now increased the number of accused arrested in this syndicate case to 19. Several digital and documentary evidences have also been seized during the raids.<\/p>\n

Now know what is the government’s stance?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On August 5, Chief Minister Hemant Soren initiated steps towards ending the agitation. The CM formed a committee of four ministers to hold talks with the students. This included Higher Education Minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Rural Development Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, Welfare Minister Chamra Linda and Industries Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav.<\/p>\n

The Chief Minister held a meeting with these ministers at his residence. Discussions were held on talks with the students. Then invitations for talks were sent to the students. Sadar SDO Kumar Rajat and ADM Law and Order Dhananjay Kumar had reached Jaypal Singh Stadium with the Chief Minister’s message for dialogue.<\/p>\n

The CM’s message was conveyed to the protesting students of the JPSC-JSSC Reform Forum. It was informed that the CM is ready for talks with a delegation of students. Names of five students were requested for the delegation. However, the students refused to hold talks in a closed room. They said that the talks would be held on a public platform.<\/p>\n

On August 6, a list of the delegation was sent by the students, which included 8 students, two journalists and former Advocate General Ajit Kumar. However, the government objected to the presence of the former Advocate General in the students’ delegation. The government has made it clear that it will only talk to the students.<\/p>\n
