The students have raised concerns over the NEET controversy and recent developments surrounding the \u2018Cockroach Janata Party\u2019 protest at Jantar Mantar.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">A group of students from the 2026 batch has written to the Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, faculty members and other university officials, urging them to reconsider the decision to invite the CJI as chief guest.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\"><span class=\"e913fbaa d3886593\"><strong>Students cite constitutional accountability<\/strong><\/span><strong\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">According to the letter, the students\u2019 concerns are linked to the Supreme Court proceedings on petitions challenging the police action during the protests. They have also highlighted the importance of constitutional accountability and academic freedom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The students said inviting CJI Suryakant to the convocation in the current circumstances would not be consistent with these values.
