She also remembered Netaji, Mahatma Gandhi, and Matangini Hazra, saying that her party does not hold programmes merely for show but honours the freedom fighters from the heart.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u2018Chor\u2019 slogans erupt after garlanding ceremony<\/strong><\/span> Soon after Banerjee garlanded the Netaji statue, slogans of \u201cchor, chor\u201d were reportedly raised from within the crowd. The Kalighat camp of the Trinamool Congress alleged that BJP workers surrounded the former chief minister and staged a protest.<\/p>\n Banerjee subsequently left the spot in her car, while the protest reportedly continued.<\/p>\n TMC alleges BJP workers staged protest<\/strong><\/span> A man sitting on the road was seen clapping and raising slogans.
