Heavy rain has been occurring continuously for four days in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. A new cyclone has become active in the Bay of Bengal.<\/p>\n

Due to its effect, a new low-pressure area will form around August 12. Thus, heavy rainfall is likely to continue in the state for the next 4 days.<\/p>\n

Due to the air pressure formed near Madhya Pradesh, heavy rain is also occurring in Western UP. The Meteorological Department issued a rain alert for 48 districts of the state on Thursday. 10 rivers, including the Ganga-Yamuna, are in spate.<\/p>\n

Due to this, a flood warning has been issued for 16 districts, including Varanasi-Kanpur.<\/p>\n

Heavy rain is occurring in many districts of Himachal Pradesh. 204 roads in the state are closed due to rain over the past three days. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for August 13 and an orange alert for heavy rain on August 14.<\/p>\n

With 5 monsoon systems active simultaneously in Gujarat, a heavy rain alert has been issued for 7 districts.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, heavy rain occurred in many areas, including Patan, Sabarkantha, Banaskantha, and Paldi. The Palanpur-Ambaji National Highway was waterlogged up to one foot, causing long traffic jams at various places.<\/p>\n
