At a promotional event for \u2018Vishwanath and Sons\u2019 in Hyderabad on August 11, director Venky Atluri surprised actor Suriya with a sudden gesture of respect. While Suriya was speaking on stage, Venky pointed upwards and said, \u201cSir, there\u2019s something up there.\u201d As Suriya looked up, Venky bent down and touched his feet, leaving the actor visibly surprised and smiling. During the event, Suriya also praised Venky for his energy and direction.<\/p>\n

Venky\u2019s gesture reminded social media users of an iconic scene from the film \u2018Sooryavansham\u2019. In the film, Soundarya played Bhanu Pratap\u2019s daughter-in-law, who is also a collector. Due to differences within the family, Bhanu Pratap remains upset with her.<\/p>\n

Instead of directly touching his feet, her character deliberately drops a paperweight near him. She then bends down to pick it up and uses the moment to touch his feet and seek his blessings. Similarly, Venky asked Suriya to look up before using the moment to touch his feet, which led fans to draw a comparison with the film\u2019s scene.<\/p>\n
