Seven people died in the accident, and rescue operations are continuously being run by local authorities, PTI reported.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">According to information, a large number of devotees had reached Tarapith due to it being Monday of the Sawan month. The fire broke out at around 4:30 a.m. on the ground floor of a hotel named Bidishini, located near Tarapith Police Station.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\"><span class=\"e913fbaa d3886593\"><strong>Rescue operations underway<\/strong><\/span><strong\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Firefighters reached the spot and brought the blaze under control. The injured were rescued and taken to Rampurhat Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">According to the preliminary assessment of the fire department, the blaze may have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
