Education Minister says necessary steps will be taken following snakebite incident at Heritage School.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Snake reportedly enters school washroom area<\/strong><\/span> The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday afternoon when a nearly one-and-a-half-foot-long snake bit the student inside the school washroom. The school authorities subsequently sent the child to the school sick room for initial medical attention.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Student allegedly sent home after treatment<\/strong><\/span> However, the family alleged that the student was later sent home. At home, the parents noticed bite marks on the child\u2019s leg and questioned her about the injury, following which they reportedly learnt about the incident.<\/p>\n Family rushes child to private hospital<\/strong><\/span> The family immediately rushed the child to a private hospital. Doctors reportedly informed them that there was no reason to panic as the snake was non-venomous. The student was kept under observation overnight and is currently safe.<\/p>\n According to reports, the snake was around one-and-a-half feet long and had a white body with yellow patches.<\/p>\n Parents raise questions over school safety<\/strong><\/span> The incident has raised concerns among students and parents, with questions being asked about how a snake entered the washroom of Heritage School and whether adequate safety measures were in place.<\/p>\n The school authorities have reportedly not issued a detailed statement on the incident.
