Inset shows the gangster&#8217;s file photo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Gangster Vinod Panu aka \u2018Kana\u2019 was shot dead in broad daylight at a court in Hisar, Haryana, on Thursday (20 Aug). Kana had arrived at the court for a hearing when two men on a motorcycle allegedly opened fire at him as he entered through the court gate.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The incident took place at around 2 pm. The assailants fired 14 rounds, 12 directly at Kana and two in the air. Another person was also reportedly injured in the firing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">According to preliminary information, 31 criminal cases were registered against Kana. These reportedly included the murder of Sanjay, aka &#8216;Bittu&#8217;, the nephew of Lalit Sharma, PA of MLA Savitri Jindal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Hisar ASP Mayank Mudgil said, &#8220;One of the alleged attackers has been apprehended.
