Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson and activist Saurav Das has moved the Delhi High Court against media commentator Abhijit Iyer-Mitra, LawBeat, The Pamphlet, The Jaipur Dialogues and The Sunday Guardian, alleging that his residential address and personal information were publicly disclosed.<\/p>\n

Seeks privacy protection and damages<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Das has sought \u20b92.01 lakh in damages, alleging violation of his right to privacy. He has also sought a permanent injunction restraining the defendants from publishing, circulating or disclosing his residential address and personal details.<\/p>\n

He has further sought directions to remove and disable access to videos and social media posts that allegedly contain the information.<\/p>\n

Alleges trespass and disclosure of address<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the suit, Das has been living in a rented ground-floor room in Greater Kailash-I since early 2025.<\/p>\n

He alleged that representatives of The Pamphlet entered the shared residential premises without permission, recorded its interiors and uploaded the footage on X on August 5.<\/p>\n

The video allegedly revealed his residential address and has received more than 2.1 million views. It was also republished on August 10, the suit states.<\/p>\n

Das has alleged that Iyer-Mitra subsequently disclosed his address during a LawBeat programme, including the name of his neighbour and an incorrect claim about his monthly rent being around \u20b97 lakh.<\/p>\n

Google, X Corp also named in plea<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Das has sought directions to X Corp and Google to remove the content revealing his residential information and prevent its further dissemination.<\/p>\n

He said he filed a police complaint on August 5 and informed the defendants about the alleged security risks, but claimed the disclosures continued.<\/p>\n

The plea states that repeated publication of the information could increase the risk of Das, his family and other residents facing intimidation, harassment or physical violence.<\/p>\n
