A power outage disrupted the Ayurvedic PG exam being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday in Jaipur.<\/p>\n

The exam was computer-based, and the systems of several candidates shut down after the power went out. The incident led to a commotion among students outside the examination centre.<\/p>\n

Female candidates alleged that some students used the disruption to talk to each other and cheat. Meanwhile, after a technical error disrupted the first shift of the Ayurvedic PG entrance exam, the NTA has announced a re-exam on 1st September for 49 students who were unable to take the test. The re-exam will be held at Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women in Jaipur.<\/p>\n

After reports of irregularities emerged during the exam, the NTA cancelled the test. The incident took place at Satya Sai PG College in Transport Nagar at around 10.20 am. Dr Sudha Sharma, who appeared for the exam, said the test was scheduled from 10 am to 12 pm. About 20 minutes after it began, several computers suddenly shut down.<\/p>\n

According to Sharma, the invigilator told the candidates that a short circuit had caused the power outage and that the electricity would be restored shortly. However, some computers continued to function during the disruption.<\/p>\n

When the lights didn’t come back for a long time, students came out and created a commotion. Female students alleged that during this time, students talked to each other and cheated.<\/p>\n

All this happened in front of the center’s observer. But they did nothing. The exam couldn’t even start. There is still a technical error in the system.<\/p>\n

Students say – This entire paper should be cancelled. Otherwise, it won’t be fair to those who worked hard. The center’s observer has told students that the exam at this center will be conducted again. The police force has been deployed at the center.<\/p>\n

Observer Dr. Harshita Sachdeva said – There was some problem with the power supply; that’s why half the computers shut down.<\/p>\n

Don’t know how half the computers were working. The power supply was coming and going intermittently. That’s why some computers were not working.<\/p>\n

Commotion in the second shift as well<\/strong><\/p>\n

The homeopathic PG exam was supposed to start at 3 pm in the second shift. Entry for these students was until 1 pm, but they were given entry at 3 pm.<\/p>\n

However, in the second shift, due to the biometric system not working, students created a commotion outside the exam hall. ADM arrived to pacify them.<\/p>\n
