Keziah Liz Mejo from Kerala has been crowned Miss Universe India 2026 after winning the finale in Jaipur, where 52 finalists from across the country competed for the title.<\/p>\n

She will now represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico later this year, while Vaishnavi Ganesh from Tamil Nadu and Anushree Satavlekar from Gujarat were named the first and second runners-up, respectively.<\/p>\n

She impressed the judges with her beauty, intelligence and confidence to win the title and will now represent India at the international level.<\/p>\n

The Miss Universe India 2026 finale was held in Jaipur late on Sunday night, with 52 finalists from across the country showcasing their talent, beauty and confidence.<\/p>\n

Vaishnavi Ganesh from Tamil Nadu was named the first runner-up, while Anushree Satavlekar from Gujarat finished as the second runner-up.<\/p>\n

After winning the Miss Universe India 2026 title, Keziah Liz Mejo will represent India at the 75th Miss Universe pageant, scheduled to be held in Puerto Rico later this year, where beauty queens from different countries will compete.<\/p>\n

What Keziah Liz Mejo said after her win?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Keziah Liz Mejo said, “This title is not just an achievement for me, but also a great responsibility. Representing India on an international platform is a matter of pride and honour for me.”<\/p>\n

She added, “Through this opportunity, I will present India’s diversity, culture, talent, and the strength of the new generation to the world.”<\/p>\n

In the finale, Kejiah Liz Mejo from Kerala won the prestigious title of Miss Universe India 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

Miss Universe India Judges<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event was attended and judged by several prominent personalities from the fashion and entertainment industries, including Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, two-time Miss Universe India winner Urvashi Rautela, former Miss Universe first runner-up Celina Jaitly, Miss Universe India 2024 Rhea Singha, film producer and environmentalist Pragya Kapoor, and Miss Universe India owner Nikhil Anand.<\/p>\n

Miss Universe India 2024 winner Rhea Singha and Miss Universe India 2025 winner Manika Vishwakarma were also present on the occasion.<\/p>\n

Sushmita Sen: ‘I did not know much english’<\/strong><\/p>\n

Addressing the models, Sushmita Sen said, “When I was competing for Miss Universe, I did not know much English. I did not even know the meaning of ‘essence’. So, this journey was not easy.”<\/p>\n

She added, “The answer I gave at that time is something I probably would not be able to give even today. We are all children of the same mother, and this motherland is our mother.”<\/p>\n

Sushmita said talent had gathered from across the country and, although people may differ in some ways, they remain united because of the country. The event was held at G Studio in Jaipur.<\/p>\n

Urvashi Rautela said, “Sushmita Sen is my first guru. She was the one who crowned me Miss Universe India.”<\/p>\n

Her remarks brought back memories of earlier days, and the presence of the mentor and her former titleholder on the same stage added an emotional touch to the event.<\/p>\n

Urvashi said she was now waiting for the young woman who would represent India on the international stage this year.<\/p>\n

According to her, the Miss Universe platform is not merely about beauty, but also provides an opportunity to showcase confidence, personality, intelligence and one’s identity before the world.<\/p>\n

Celina Jaitly offers special advice to finalists<\/strong><\/p>\n

Actress Celina Jaitly was also present as a judge at the event. Recalling her long association with Jaipur, she said, “I have returned to Jaipur after nearly 25 years.”<\/p>\n

She said that despite returning to the city after such a long time, it felt as though an unfinished journey had finally been completed.<\/p>\n
