Six people, including five women, were killed in the accident, while 12 others were injured.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The bus was carrying 42 passengers and was travelling from Hyderabad to Eluru in Andhra Pradesh. The accident occurred around 5:15 am on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway in Kodad mandal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Police said the truck was carrying heavy iron pillars. As the bus hit the truck, the chain securing the pillars broke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The pillars then pierced through the right side of the bus.
