However, a thick branch pierced her thigh, leaving her suspended around 20 feet above the ground.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The incident took place at around 9.30 am at Sunshine Cooperative Housing Society in Tulshetpada. After receiving the alert, a Mumbai Fire Brigade team reached the spot and launched a rescue operation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The woman, identified as Pratiksha Hivrale, had got married four months ago. The reason why she jumped from the building window has not yet been established.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">She sustained serious injuries to her left leg and was initially taken to hospital before being referred to LTMG Sion Hospital for surgery.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\"><strong>Firefighters cut branch with electric saw, lower woman using ropes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">According to the Fire Brigade official, Pratiksha jumped from a window and landed on a nearby tree while falling. A branch measuring around 50-60 mm in thickness reportedly pierced her thigh, leaving her trapped approximately 20 feet above the ground.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Firefighters reached her using an aerial ladder and carefully cut the branch with an electric saw. They then secured her to a stretcher and lowered her to the ground with the help of ropes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">After the rescue, Pratiksha was taken to hospital for treatment and later referred to Sion Hospital.
