<\/p>\n According to a notification issued by Chief Secretary Manoj Agarwal, government officials will meet citizens every Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 am to 1 pm. The initiative will cover officials at the district and block levels, including field-level officers.<\/p>\n File photo.<\/span><\/p>\n No appointment needed for public hearings<\/strong><\/span> <\/p>\n Citizens will not require prior permission or an appointment to meet officials during the designated hours. District magistrates, sub-divisional officers, block development officers, municipal commissioners and police officials, among others, have been brought under the initiative.<\/p>\n Officials have also been instructed to avoid meetings, official tours and other engagements during these hours as far as possible, ensuring they remain available to the public.<\/p>\n Officials must display contact details<\/strong><\/span> The notification also directed departments to prominently display the email addresses and mobile numbers of concerned officials at accessible locations. The same information will have to be published on government websites.<\/p>\n Departments will also have to issue advance notices specifying the day and time when officials will meet citizens.<\/p>\n Complaints to be tracked until resolution<\/strong><\/span> The government has made it clear that merely hearing complaints will not be considered sufficient. Officials will have to record the action taken on each grievance.<\/p>\n The \u2018Aponar Sarkar Aponar Pashe\u2019 portal will be strengthened to document complaints and follow-up actions.
