The Mandakini River is in spate in Chitrakoot. A bridge at Ramghat in Chitrakoot collapsed and fell into the river. Up to 5 feet of mud has accumulated inside homes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Following floods in Nepal, water is being continuously released from the Kosi Barrage and Gandak Barrage in Bihar. This has left several villages flooded. In Bhagalpur, eight houses in Sabour were washed into the Ganga due to riverbank erosion.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Himachal Pradesh has been issued a yellow alert for heavy rain in several districts from August 31 to September 3.
