<\/p>\n Consumers who have not completed e-KYC for their LPG connections may also face difficulties in availing the subsidy. The deadline for completing e-KYC was 31 August.<\/p>\n Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices for domestic airlines have also increased by \u20b96.28 per litre, from \u20b9115 to \u20b9121.28 per litre, according to IOCL sources.<\/p>\n The price of a 5-kg non-domestic LPG refill has also increased by \u20b92 per cylinder, from \u20b9762 to \u20b9764, marking a 0.26% rise.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 5 major changes coming into effect in September\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Commercial gas cylinders become costlier by an average of \u20b911.50<\/strong><\/span> Change:<\/strong> Oil companies have increased the price of commercial gas cylinders by an average of \u20b911.50. In Kolkata, the price has risen to \u20b92,884. Earlier, it was available for \u20b92,872.50.<\/p>\n Impact:<\/strong> The increase in commercial cylinder prices will marginally raise expenses for restaurant owners. As a result, they may increase the prices of tea, snacks and thalis. Wedding catering may also become more expensive.<\/p>\n Prices of commercial gas cylinders in major cities across the country<\/strong><\/p>\n No change in the price of the 14-kg domestic LPG cylinder<\/strong><\/p>\n 2. Milk prices increase by \u20b99 per litre in Mumbai from today<\/strong><\/span> Change<\/strong><\/p>\n Mumbai:<\/strong> The Bombay Milk Producers Association has announced a \u20b99 per litre hike in wholesale milk prices from September 1. The wholesale rate has increased from \u20b993 to \u20b9102 per litre and will remain applicable until 28 February 2027.<\/p>\n Tamil Nadu:<\/strong> The procurement price of Aavin milk has been increased by \u20b93 per litre, from \u20b941 to \u20b944 per litre. This is the second hike in less than two weeks, taking the total increase in the procurement price to \u20b96 per litre.<\/p>\n Reason:<\/strong> Milk prices have increased due to a sharp rise in the cost of green fodder, straw and cattle feed, along with higher maintenance and transportation expenses.<\/p>\n Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n On the public:<\/strong> The rise in wholesale prices in Mumbai will lead to an increase in retail milk prices. With the festive season approaching, higher prices of dairy products such as curd, paneer and sweets could affect household budgets.<\/p>\n 3. LPG subsidy may be stopped if e-KYC not completed<\/strong><\/span> Change:<\/strong> The deadline to complete e-KYC to continue receiving LPG subsidy was 31 August. Oil companies had asked all domestic LPG customers to complete the process.<\/p>\n Impact:<\/strong> After the deadline, the subsidy of customers who have not completed biometric verification may be stopped. They may also face difficulties in getting LPG cylinders. However, whether cylinder bookings will be immediately stopped due to incomplete verification will depend on the company’s rules.<\/p>\n Those who have not completed the process yet should contact their gas agency as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience.<\/p>\n 4. No stamp required on boarding pass for international travel<\/strong><\/span> Change:<\/strong> From 1 September 2026, the requirement for passengers travelling abroad from India to get their boarding passes stamped at immigration counters has been discontinued. The process is now digital.<\/p>\n Passengers can now show their e-boarding passes on their phones during immigration. However, all other requirements related to valid passports, visas and security checks will continue as before.<\/p>\n Impact:<\/strong> The new rule will make the departure process at airports easier and save passengers time. It will also reduce crowds at immigration counters and make international travel more convenient.<\/p>\n 5. Tata and Hyundai cars to become costlier from today<\/strong><\/span> Change:<\/strong> Tata Motors has increased the prices of all its car models and variants by up to \u20b925,000 from today. Hyundai Motor India has also increased prices by up to 1%.<\/p>\n Reason:<\/strong> The companies have taken the decision to offset rising raw material (commodity) prices, operating costs and inflationary pressures.<\/p>\n Impact:<\/strong> Customers buying a new Tata or Hyundai car or SUV from September will have to pay more. Both companies have clarified that the exact increase will depend on the model and variant.
