The family of a newlywed woman helped rescue a motorcyclist who became trapped in a powerful flood current in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n

A video capturing the rescue has surfaced on social media, showing how the family risked their safety to pull the stranded rider to safety.<\/p>\n

Motorcyclist struggles against strong current<\/strong><\/p>\n

The incident took place on Monday (31 Aug) when the motorcyclist became stuck in the fast-flowing water while attempting to cross the flooded stretch.<\/p>\n

He struggled to move forward as the current grew stronger. A family travelling along the road spotted him in distress and immediately stopped their vehicle to help.<\/p>\n

Newlywed\u2019s dupatta used to pull rider to safety<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the family members moved towards the trapped motorcyclist and attempted to reach him. The family then used the dupatta of a newlywed woman travelling with them to pull the rider towards safety, helping him escape the strong current.<\/p>\n

Strong current made it impossible to reach the stranded rider<\/strong><\/p>\n

The strong water current made it impossible for the family member to reach the stranded rider. Seeing the situation, the newlywed woman stepped out of the vehicle, removed her dupatta and extended it towards the motorcyclist.<\/p>\n

He held onto the cloth firmly and gradually made his way towards the vehicle, with other family members helping pull him to safety.<\/p>\n

Landslide blocks Chamba road<\/strong><\/p>\n

Earlier, a major landslide occurred on the Koda-Uri road in Chamba, with a large portion of the hillside collapsing onto the road and disrupting traffic. However, no vehicles or people were trapped in the landslide, and no casualties or property damage were reported.<\/p>\n
