Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan recently spoke about his family connection with Saif Ali Khan.<\/p>\n

Saif had appeared on Kaun Banega Crorepati<\/em> with his Haivan<\/em> co-star Akshay Kumar. In the show\u2019s promo, Amitabh told Saif, \u201cMany people don\u2019t know that he is related to us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saif looked surprised and asked, \u201cMe?\u201d Amitabh then explained the connection between their families through the Kapoor and Nanda families.<\/p>\n

Explaining the relationship, Amitabh said, \u201cRaj Kapoor\u2019s daughter Ritu\u2019s son Nikhil is married to my daughter Shweta.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then jokingly asked Saif what Kareena Kapoor would call him. Saif replied, \u201cThank God this question is not on the show.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saif and Amitabh\u2019s family connection<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amitabh Bachchan\u2019s daughter Shweta Bachchan is married to Nikhil Nanda. Nikhil\u2019s mother, Ritu Nanda, was the daughter of filmmaker Raj Kapoor.<\/p>\n

Therefore, Nikhil Nanda and Kareena Kapoor are cousins. Since Saif Ali Khan is married to Kareena, his connection with the Bachchan family is through marriage rather than a direct relationship such as uncle and niece.<\/p>\n

Amitabh Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor have shared the screen in films including Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham<\/em> (2001), Dev<\/em> (2004) and Satyagraha<\/em> (2013).<\/p>\n

On the work front, Saif Ali Khan will next be seen in Priyadarshan\u2019s directorial Haivan<\/em>. The film also stars Akshay Kumar, Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, Rajesh Sharma, Pahal Chaudhary and Manoj Joshi in important roles.<\/p>\n

Haivan<\/em> is a remake of Priyadarshan\u2019s 2016 Malayalam film Oppam<\/em>, which starred Mohanlal in the lead role.<\/p>\n

Kareena Kapoor\u2019s upcoming film<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kareena Kapoor was last seen in Singham Again<\/em> (2024). She will next appear in Daira<\/em>, directed by Meghna Gulzar.<\/p>\n

In the film, Kareena will play a police officer. Daira<\/em> is scheduled to release in theatres on 18 September 2026.<\/p>\n
