He is currently serving a prison sentence and remains the head of the banned JKLF.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\"><strong>Decided to divorce his wife as well<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The 60-year-old Malik, who is held in Delhi\u2019s Tihar Jail, also announced in his affidavit his decision to end his marriage to his wife, Mushaal Hussein Mullick.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">He explained that his long imprisonment and a complete lack of contact with his family for the last eight years, due to having no access to phone calls or video conferencing, led to this decision.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">In the same affidavit, Malik wrote to his wife, stating, &#8220;Before being hanged, I have decided to release you from the bond of our Nikah.&#8221; He also advised his daughter to speak with her grandparents for five minutes every day.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:0\"\/><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mohammad Yasin Malik, the imprisoned leader of the banned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), has denied any involvement in the murder of a Kashmiri Pandit woman.
