A war of words broke out on X between CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia after Das shared a post allegedly quoting Bhatia as calling Swatantra Bhardwaj a \u201cDimagi-naxal\u201d.<\/p>\n

Bhatia termed the post fake and gave Das 24 hours to delete it and issue an unconditional apology. Das subsequently deleted the post and clarified that it had been generated using AI.<\/p>\n

However, Das later challenged BJP leaders to repeat the statement and directly asked Bhatia whether he disagreed with the remarks. The exchange came amid a controversy over comments allegedly made by Bhardwaj regarding Sanjay Kumar, the father of CJP activist Nishu Azad.<\/p>\n

Das had shared a post on his official X account claiming that Bhatia had described Bhardwaj as a \u201cDimagi-naxal\u201d and accused him of having \u201cthe poison of casteism\u201d. Das captioned the post, \u201cNo comments again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bhatia denied making the remarks and called the post fake, asking Das to remove it and apologise within 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Das later deleted the post and said it had been created using AI. He nevertheless questioned why BJP leaders were not making similar statements about Bhardwaj and asked Bhatia to clarify whether he disagreed with the substance of the alleged quote.<\/p>\n

Row over remarks against CJP activist\u2019s father<\/strong><\/p>\n

The dispute comes against the backdrop of an alleged assault involving Sanjay Kumar during a student protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. CJP has alleged that Bhardwaj and others assaulted Kumar.<\/p>\n

Bhardwaj had allegedly claimed that he had \u201ccracked the skull\u201d of Kumar, though he later denied making the statement. He also reportedly said that he had not been jailed and had remained outside throughout the night.<\/p>\n

Following the controversy, CJP members staged a protest outside the Parliament Street Police Station on Friday and met police officials over the matter.<\/p>\n

Police subsequently took Bhardwaj into custody and arrested him. However, the available information contains conflicting references to the date of his arrest, with Friday mentioned in one account and Saturday in subsequent details.<\/p>\n

An FIR was initially registered against the 21-year-old under Sections 115(2) and 126(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), relating to causing hurt and wrongful restraint. Sections of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act were later added to the case.<\/p>\n
