Car market leader Maruti Suzuki India on Monday announced another hike in prices of select models by up to \u20b920,000 — its third hike since May — to be effective from this month, citing rising input costs and inflationary pressures.<\/p>\n

In view of the continuous sustained increase in input costs, the company has decided to increase the prices on selected models by up to Rs 20,000. This increase in prices would come into effect in September 2026. However, with inflationary burdens at elevated levels and the adverse cost environment enduring, the company is constrained to pass on a portion of the increased costs to the market, while continuing to ensure that the impact on customers is kept to the minimum extent possible<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The previous two price hikes announced by the company were for models across its portfolio.The Japanese auto major had earlier hiked vehicle prices by up to \u20b930,000 from August due to continuous rise in input costs.<\/p>\n

The company sells a range of cars and SUVs from entry-level S-Presso to premium utility vehicle Invicto priced between \u20b93.5 lakh and \u20b928.70 lakh (ex-showroom.)<\/p>\n

Earlier, Maruti Suzuki India had increased the prices of its cars in June also.<\/p>\n

Tata Motors also increased rates this year:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Tata Motors, the company that makes cars like the Tiago and Safari had also increased the prices of its regular petrol and diesel cars (called “ICE” cars) from 1 April, 2026. On average, the price of Tata’s petrol and diesel cars went up by about 0.5%.<\/p>\n

Hyundai car prices increased by up to \u20b912,800 from 1 June, 2026:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier, Hyundai Motor India’s cars had become expensive from June 1, 2026. The company had decided to increase the prices of its cars by up to \u20b912,800.<\/p>\n
