Her family alleged that she was raped and murdered.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Girl\u2019s body found floating in river<\/strong><\/span> The incident took place in the Gauriranga area under Nadanghat police station. According to the family, the girl had gone to a local private tutor in the morning.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A minor boy, who is also known to the family, had reportedly gone there to study as well.<\/p>\n Family alleges rape and murder<\/strong><\/span> After the tuition ended, the girl did not return home for a long time. Her family and local residents began searching for her in the area.<\/p>\n During the search, the minor allegedly told his family that someone had taken the girl away on a motorcycle. Based on the information, the family and local residents approached the police.<\/p>\n Post mortem likely to establish cause of death<\/strong><\/span> Later in the afternoon, residents spotted the girl\u2019s body floating in the Khari River. Nadanghat police subsequently recovered the body from the river.<\/p>\n Police have detained the minor boy and his father for questioning. The exact cause and circumstances of the girl’s death are yet to be established.<\/p>\n Tension grips area as investigation continues<\/strong><\/span> Police have started an investigation, while the incident has created tension in the area.
