style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The political dispute over \u201cChhatron Ki Goonj\u201d versus \u201cJhooton Ki Goonj\u201d ultimately depends on what is being fact-checked.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">If the question is whether every number used at a political event exactly matches the latest official tally, each figure needs to be checked separately against the relevant government record.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">But if the question is whether the problems themselves are real, Bhaskar English&#8217;s own reporting provides substantial evidence that they are.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Therefore, describing the entire Indore programme as based on \u201clies\u201d would require addressing this existing body of reporting as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">That distinction is important when assessing claims made at a political programme:a number
