He received a grand welcome with drums and garba at his hotel. Meanwhile, President Droupadi Murmu arrived at Vadodara airport today as part of her three-day Gujarat visit and was welcomed there. After arriving at Vadodara airport, the President\u2019s convoy left for Kevadia by road. Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has also reached Kevadia for the occasion, where he received a grand welcome. Actors from the Bollywood and South Indian film industries will arrive in Kevadia tomorrow as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">For the first time in its 72-year history, the ceremony will be held in Gujarat<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The grand ceremony of the 72nd National Film Awards, considered among the country\u2019s most prestigious honours for excellence in cinema, will be held in Kevadia, Gujarat, this year. President Droupadi Murmu and Bollywood stars will attend the ceremony tomorrow, 22 September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Instituted in 1954, the National Film Awards are presented by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The Best Actress in a Leading Role award will be presented to Yami Gautam for \u2018Article 370\u2019. The Best Debut Director award will be given to Randeep Hooda for \u2018Swatantrya Veer Savarkar\u2019. During the approximately 75-minute main protocol session in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, winners in various categories will be presented with awards and certificates of honour.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">The main ceremony will begin between 4 and 5.15 pm with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the national anthem, in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu, Union ministers and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Awards will then be presented in various categories, including feature films, non-feature films, and Best Actor and Best Actress.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\"><strong>Special cultural programme for guests on the banks of the Narmada<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">Between 5.15 pm and 6 pm, President Droupadi Murmu will address personalities from the film industry. An official group photograph will then be taken with all the award winners.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"word-break:break-word;text-align:left;white-space:pre-line\">After the main ceremony concludes, a special cultural programme for guests has been organised on the banks of the Narmada after 6.30 pm.
