Seven stray dogs attacked a four-year-old girl in Pimpri-Chinchwad of Pune district in Maharashtra. The girl had over 80 stitches on her head.
The incident took place on Sunday afternoon in the Chikhli area. According to the girl’s father, Girdhar Mishra, the girl had gone out of the house to pick some leaves from a nearby tree. As she approached the tree, a pack of dogs attacked her.
He said that the pack of dogs bit the girl for about 43 seconds. She sustained injuries to her hands and thighs. Hearing the girl’s screams, locals rushed to save her and chased the dogs away. The CCTV footage of the incident surfaced on Tuesday.

CCTV footage shows a pack of dogs surrounding the girl from all sides. She tried to escape, but two dogs attacked her and knocked her to the ground.
The other dogs then rushed towards her. The dogs fled after local residents arrived, allowing the girl to be rescued.
The girl’s father said the stray dog problem in their area has become serious. He urged the administration to take immediate action to prevent such incidents.
