Adiyogi Statue & Salal Dam Lit Up in Tricolour

On the eve of Independence Day, the Salal Dam in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir has been decorated with tricolour colours. The water flowing from the dam at night looks like a tricolor in saffron, white, and green light.

112 feet high Adiyogi decorated like the National Flag

The 112-feet tall Adiyogi statue lit up in the colours of the tricolour at the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on the eve of Independence Day. The entire complex was painted in patriotic colours with saffron, white and green lights.

Vande Mataram was sung for the first time at the Red Fort

On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, Vande Mataram was sung for the first time at the Red Fort. The band of the Army played the tune of ‘Vande Mataram’, and two Mi-17 helicopters of the Indian Air Force showered flowers at the venue.
