The Jharkhand government has decided to cancel the JSSC-CGL examination and all examinations conducted by TDPL. Chief Minister Hemant Soren said the decision was taken after considering all aspects of the issue.
Soren said the cancellation would cover everything linked to TDPL, including the examinations held, results published, candidates selected or who appeared in the exams, and all other activities carried out by the organisation.
The Chief Minister said the government had agreed to the students’ main demand for the cancellation of the CGL examination.
He also confirmed that all examinations conducted by TDPL would be cancelled.
Student leader Devendra Nath Mahato thanked the students, parents, media, police administration, the Jharkhand government and Chief Minister Hemant Soren for supporting the movement.
Mahato said the government had taken the students’ concerns seriously and accepted their demands. He also said the investigation was being carried out thoroughly and that those involved in corruption were being arrested.
He added that efforts were continuing to identify the main people behind the alleged examination-related gangs.
24-day student protest continues
Students in Jharkhand have been on hunger strike for 24 days, demanding the cancellation of the JPSC-JSSC examinations and a CBI probe.

NTA cancelled three UGC-NET exams yesterday
The UGC-NET examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology were cancelled yesterday. On Sunday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) admitted that the question papers for these subjects contained spelling and printing errors.
NTA also said that some questions from previous exams had been repeated. Students had raised concerns about these errors after the answer key was released.
The agency said the problems were too extensive to be resolved simply by removing the questions.
NTA has announced new dates for the three examinations. The English, Commerce and Sociology exams will now be held on September 9 and 10.
NTA conducted the UGC-NET examination from June 22 to June 30.
Rahul supported the protest
Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, expressed support for the protesting students.
In a letter to the Jharkhand Chief Minister, he wrote, “The Congress Party believes in the right to peaceful protest, guaranteed by the Constitution of India. We have extended our full support to the students protesting against paper leaks and irregularities in the education system over the past few months.”
You should personally meet with representatives of the protesting students. This will help strengthen the government’s commitment to addressing their remaining concerns.
