Bihar Red Alert & Himachal Pradesh Road Closures

Continuous rain is ongoing in many states of the country. Flood-like situations prevail in many districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Due to heavy rain in Satna, the water level in Guptagodavari of Chitrakoot has risen.

Meanwhile, heavy rain is occurring in Dindori. Rivers and streams are in spate. Connectivity to more than 12 villages has been lost. Several villages in the Brijpur region of Panna are waterlogged.

There is a red alert for heavy rain in 11 districts of Bihar today. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for East Champaran, West Champaran, Siwan, Saran, Gopalganj, Buxar, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Rohtas, and Aurangabad.

88 roads are closed in Himachal Pradesh due to rain. The highest number of roads closed are in Mandi (32), Kullu (25), and Sirmaur (10).

Heavy damage has occurred in Kasauli and Parwanoo due to trees falling and water entering homes in various places.

The water levels of the Subarnarekha and Baitarani rivers in Odisha have crossed the danger mark. This has affected the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Mayurbhanj, and Keonjhar. More than 3 lakh people have been moved to safe places.

Four people died on Wednesday in separate rain-related incidents in Uttarakhand. These include a two-year-old child and a 25-year-old woman from Delhi. Landslides closed several roads and heavy rain caused rivers and streams to swell.
