Rain continues in Madhya Pradesh. Bhopal has been receiving intermittent rain for three days. The weather department has issued an alert for heavy rain across the state on Friday.
In Uttar Pradesh, intermittent rain continued in 61 districts from Thursday morning until late evening. The highest rainfall, 131.6 mm, was recorded in Mahoba. Meanwhile, following the flood in Nepal on Wednesday morning, six bodies were swept into Uttar Pradesh. Two of them are women. None of the victims has been identified.
Eight districts in Bihar are on high alert due to the floods in Nepal. In Khagaria, the Ganga and Gandak rivers are flowing above the danger mark. The Kosi and Bagmati rivers are also in spate. More than 50,000 homes are submerged here.
Another spell of heavy rain is likely to begin in Himachal Pradesh. The Shimla Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain at isolated places from August 31 to September 2. Seventy roads in the state are closed due to landslides and heavy rain.

It has been raining continuously in the catchment area of the Nonera Dam in Kota, Rajasthan. As a result, the dam gates have been opened.
The Agriculture Department’s dam broke in Tetradih village of Balrampur, Chhattisgarh. The paddy crop was damaged after water flooded the fields.
