Brahmbhatt alleged that Kejriwal had struck a deal with Abhijit Dipke to ensure that decisions aligned with his agenda. He claimed the resulting team consisted entirely of Aam Aadmi Party members and did not include a single student.
He further alleged that the National Core Team lacked representation from a Muslim man, the Sikh community and other religious, caste and community organisations. He also claimed that political workers who had supported the movement were excluded, including members of the RJD, Samajwadi Party, Shiv Sena and NCP who, according to him, were now leaving their parties to support the movement.
Brahmbhatt said the group had consequently become an entity that “strikes political deals” and had effectively turned into “Team Kejriwal”.
He also alleged that when the student movement was taking place in Jharkhand, Dipke and the other 11 key members did not visit the state, despite travelling elsewhere. Brahmbhatt claimed this was because Kejriwal had instructed them to stay away, as he intended to negotiate with opposition parties and ruling parties in states where the BJP was not in power.

Earlier, Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has said he believes the founders of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) have political ambitions, but called it “very normal” for people involved in public movements to aspire to enter politics.
Asked to assess the personalities of CJP founders Abhijeet Dipke, Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, Wangchuk said, “They are not saints”, adding that it was unrealistic to expect them to have no personal ambitions.
Wangchuk said there was nothing wrong with the founders having political aspirations and that they could eventually join an existing political party or launch one of their own.
