Kerala Thrissur Road Accident | Engineering Students Killed in Car Crash

A car collided with a lorry parked on the highway in Kerala’s Thrissur district late Friday night. Eight people in the car died on the spot. According to police, the accident occurred at Panambikunnu in Kaipamangalam around 11:40 p.m.

Initial police investigations revealed that the car had a Tamil Nadu registration number and the occupants were students at an engineering college in Dindigul. The car was badly damaged in the accident and had to be cut open to retrieve the bodies.

Engineering college students were traveling in the car

According to police, the car had a Tamil Nadu registration number. Initial information suggests that the young men traveling in it were students at an engineering college in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. However, the identities of the deceased have not yet been officially confirmed.

The car was reportedly traveling from Guruvayur toward Kodungallur. The accident occurred near the Panambikunnu Center.

Bodies removed by cutting open the car

The car was completely crushed after the collision. Local residents, along with firefighters, rescue teams, and police, carried out a rescue operation to free those trapped inside. The bodies were removed after cutting open the car.

The police have sent all the bodies to the mortuary at Thrissur Medical College. The accident is being investigated, and further information, including the identities of the deceased, is being gathered.
