Charges framed against Lalu family in IRCTC case
The legal heat is rising for Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family in the IRCTC money laundering case. Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court has framed charges against nine accused, including Lalu, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav, while seven others have been discharged.

All airline pilots to undergo drug tests
After a pilot on an Air India Phuket-Delhi flight tested positive for drug use, the aviation regulator is tightening the rules. The DGCA has ordered drug tests for pilots across all airlines, with the exercise to be completed by July 2027.
Currently, such tests are conducted randomly for 10% of pilots and air traffic controllers each year. The government is now preparing revised norms for psychoactive substance testing, with the new rules expected to be finalised by the end of September. READ MORE
SC orders protection for 14-year-old CJP activist facing rape threats
The Supreme Court has stepped in after a 14-year-old CJP activist in Ghaziabad allegedly faced rape and death threats.
The Court said such threats cannot be taken lightly and directed the governments of Uttar Pradesh and Delhi to submit a status report on the FIR.

- The Ministry of Labour and Employment will hold a two-day National Conference on Building and Other Construction Workers in Mumbai on September 11-12 to review implementation of the new Labour Codes, strengthen Welfare Boards and improve welfare delivery mechanisms for construction workers.
- The Odisha government will increase the milk procurement price paid to dairy farmers by ₹2 per litre from September 11. The move, announced by Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister Gokulananda Mallick, is expected to benefit more than three lakh dairy farmers across the state.
- ‘Hanuman Ansh’ will be released in international markets on September 11. Hombale Films will distribute the Vishal Chaturvedi-directed film overseas. The movie, which has already been released in India, has also recorded a sustained theatrical run domestically.
