Her bodyguard quickly moved the man aside. At the time, Alia was busy posing for pictures with other fans and did not notice him.

Alia also stopped to have a picture taken with a fan while leaving the event.

Don’t Be Shy is produced by Alia Bhatt. The film explores the choices people make between love and life. It will premiere on Prime Video on September 25.
Alia had earlier stopped her bodyguard from misbehaving with a fan
A video of Alia Bhatt went viral on social media in 2024. In the video, a fan was seen trying to take a selfie with the actress at an airport. Her bodyguard grabbed the fan by his shirt and pulled him back.
Alia intervened at the time
Alia had reportedly stopped her bodyguard from behaving aggressively with the fan. The incident drew attention on social media, with fans discussing the actress’ response to the situation.

Alia became upset when she saw this and stopped the bodyguard, telling him not to touch anyone. She then called the fan over herself and posed for a photo with him.

Alia reveals how Shaheen used to rage-bait her
At the trailer launch of Don’t Be Shy, Alia shared a childhood anecdote about her sister Shaheen. The event’s host asked Alia, Shaheen and director Sriti Mukherji about the meanings of Gen Z terms such as ‘aura farming’, ‘breadcrumbing’, ‘side quest’, ‘brain rot’ and ‘rage-baiting’.
Explaining the meaning of ‘rage-baiting’, Alia said, “When I was a child, Shaheen used to do exactly this to me. She would tell me that I had come free with Parle-G.”
She said, “She would tell me that I was not actually my mother and father’s child. I was four years old when Shaheen used to rage-bait me.”

Alia and Shaheen Bhatt started their production house, ‘Eternal Sunshine’, in 2019-20.
The film Don’t Be Shy features four new actors and a debutant director. At the beginning of the programme, Alia said, “I made my debut as an actor 14 years ago. Today, 14 years later, I am introducing four new actors and a debutant director.”
She went on to say, “At this moment, I am far more nervous than they are. I have butterflies in my stomach.”

Four new faces will be launched in lead roles in the film. They include Aarushi Bajaj, Piyush Khati, Ansh Duggal and Bianca Arora.
Alia speaks about becoming a producer
Alia was asked whether she had wanted to work in the film as an actress as well. She said, “No, I don’t think I ever felt that way.”
She said, “I love being an actress and being in front of the camera, but becoming a producer gives me a different kind of satisfaction. It gives me another level of happiness.”
Alia said the team had been involved from the beginning in developing the film’s world and story. Sriti had approached her with an idea and expressed a desire to make the film.

Aaliya said, “We said, ‘Yes, let’s do this together.’ It took two years to prepare it. After that, we took it to our dear partners at Amazon.”
She went on to say, “We sent them the material on Friday. On Saturday morning, Nikhil messaged, ‘Aaliya, let’s talk.’”
