Archana Puran Singh recently appeared on India’s Got Latent 2, where comedian Samay Raina took several digs at her personal and professional life. While talking about Archana’s family vlogs, Raina joked that neither her husband nor her two sons work and referred to them as “nalle bete”.
Archana looked at her sons and reminded them that she had already warned them about sitting in the front row because they could become the target of jokes.
Archana gave a quick reply to Samay’s joke
Raina also joked about Archana’s vlogging and her famous laughter on comedy shows. When he questioned whether laughing at Kapil Sharma’s jokes was difficult, Archana initially agreed before realising that she had walked into another joke.
Later, when Raina took a dig at her vlogging, Archana responded, “Abusing is talent?” Her reply received attention online, with many viewers praising her ability to handle the roast without losing her composure.
Her sons are also working in their own fields
The “nalle bete” comment also led to discussion about what Archana’s sons actually do.
Her elder son Aaryamann Sethi has been working as an actor and content creator and has also gained popularity through YouTube.
Recently, reports said he is planning to buy a 3.5-BHK sea-facing apartment using money earned through his YouTube ventures. This has become another talking point after Raina’s comments.
This is not the first time Archana has been the target of jokes
Archana has been a regular target of jokes because of her long association with comedy television. Since becoming a permanent presence on Kapil Sharma’s comedy shows, comedians have repeatedly joked about her laugh, her chair and even the money she earns for laughing.
She has generally played along with the humour and has also responded with jokes of her own.

In 2024, Archana addressed criticism that her laughter on The Kapil Sharma Show was fake.
She explained that she did not necessarily laugh at every weak joke.
According to her, editors sometimes used her laughter during editing because they felt it helped make even a weak joke work better.
She also said that she felt her laughter had lost its “integrity” because of this practice.
The Navjot Singh Sidhu ‘kursi’ controversy continued for years
Archana also became part of a long-running joke after replacing Navjot Singh Sidhu as the main guest on The Kapil Sharma Show in 2019.
Kapil and other comedians often joked that she had taken Sidhu’s chair. Whenever Sidhu appeared in the news, social media users would start sharing memes about Archana losing her position.
Archana herself joined the meme game
When Navjot Singh Sidhu lost the Punjab Assembly election in 2022, memes again suggested that he might return to the comedy show and take Archana’s place. Instead of getting angry, Archana shared some of the memes herself and joked about the situation.
She had also previously reacted to the “chair” jokes by saying that she enjoys different kinds of humour.
Kapil Sharma has also frequently roasted her
